Carla's Lead Manager

Carla runs a hand-raiser pipeline every day, mostly from her phone. The full Zoho CRM is heavy, not built for mobile, and shows her records from other business lines she has no need to see. She needed one simple place to move people from first contact to a deal, without navigating the whole back end.

Two webhooks update the CRM on their own. When the lead-magnet tool is used, a webhook matches the contact by email and flips an existing lead's status while saving their description, with no duplicate. When a payment lands, a webhook tags the contact as a customer and moves the open deal to Converted. Both surface in one Zoho Creator app with a seven-stage pipeline.

What shipped is a custom Zoho Creator web app at carla.patkelman.co.uk, mobile and desktop. Leads, Contacts and Deals in one interface, a seven-stage lead pipeline, and two transitions that fire on their own through webhooks. The first: when the lead-magnet tool is used, it checks the CRM by email, and an existing match flips that lead’s status and saves their business description back without creating a duplicate. The second: when a payment lands, the webhook tags the contact as a customer and moves the open deal to “Converted” with nobody touching it.

Conversion carries the qualifying answers, the notes history and the source link across, so nothing is retyped. Carla runs the whole pipeline from one app, and sales appear in it without manual reconciliation.
